About Our Parish

Discover the history, mission, and people that make Our Lady of Dolours a vibrant community of faith in Hounslow.

Our History

Our Lady of Dolours was established as a proposed mission in Hounslow to serve the growing Syro-Malabar Catholic community in the area. We are a part of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Great Britain, a sui iuris Eastern Catholic Church tracing our faith lineage back to St. Thomas the Apostle in India (Kerala).

The mission takes its name from the Seven Sorrows of Mary, known as the Seven Dolours, honoring her compassion and faithfulness. From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a diverse and welcoming community that celebrates the richness of our Syro-Malabar heritage, centered on the Holy Qurbana, while embracing the needs of modern families and individuals seeking spiritual growth.

Today, we continue to build upon our foundation of faith, service, and fellowship, striving to be a beacon of hope and love in our local community.
